Materials

  1. Coloured papers
  2. Lollipops
  3. Sketch pen
  4. Glue
  5. A pair of scissors

Instructions for Magical Insects Lollipop Butterflies Activity

  • On a coloured paper, draw and cut out the wings for a butterfly.
  • Cut two tiny, horizontal slits to fit a lollipop through.
  • Tear bits of coloured papers and glue them on the wings of the butterfly.
  • Once dry, insert the lollipop through the slits. They form the body.
  • Create butterflies of different colours.

Lollipop butterflies are all set to fly!

Go ahead and try creating other insects out of lollipops and coloured papers. Your toddler could pretend play with the insects!

Your child tries to stick the coloured papers in place to create a butterflies on his/her own. This is works on the fine motor and coordination skills.
